Network security refers to all of the actions required to protect the integrity of a computer network and the data within it. Network security is vital because it protects sensitive data from cyber threats and ensures the network is operational and reliable. Many security solutions are used in successful network security plans to protect users and companies from malware and cyber-attacks.
Today’s stack is in a security gateway, which monitors internet traffic going in and out. Network security is comprised of a collection of firewalls, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), sandboxes, URL filters, DNS filters, antivirus technology, data loss prevention (DLP) systems, and other equipment that work together to prevent external attacks from reaching data and intellectual property within a network.
